We believe that the success of a company should not only be measured in terms of financial variables. We feel that we have the right and the obligation to dedicate part of our time and resources to provide society with values and oportunities that will generate knowledge and opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.

For this reason, we have created the everis Foundation, an increasingly important platform for recognizing and developing human capital.

In addition, every year we participate in various campaigns with social objectives such as the creation of schools and libraries in places where they are genuinely needed. 

everis colabora con la Fundación Laudes Infantes de Colombia para conseguir que la tecnología sea un medio de desarrollo educacional en los entornos que tienen menos oportunidades.

everis ha realizado una donación para financiar una sala de ordenadores con puntos de conexión a internet, además de un programa de becas de formación a estudios técnicos en sistemas informáticos.

Con esta iniciativa, la compañía colabora en la educación de niños de la calle de dos zonas particularmente marginadas de la ciudad de Bogotá (Colombia), donde  existe una alta tasa de analfabetismo. Esta población ha sido víctima del desplazamiento forzado y carece de oportunidades para acceder al mercado laboral. La Fundación Laudes Infantis (www.laudesinfantis.org) es una organización, que desde 1999, trabaja con el objetivo de recoger a los niños de la calle de Bogotá, un problema social característico de los países en vías de desarrollo.

The everis Foundation was created in 2001 in Spain with the purpose of cooperating with society, primarily via universities in order to develop human capital and spread knowledge about information technologies and their application in the business world.

The main objective of the everis Foundation is the realization, promotions and advancement at every level, of education, teaching, training, research and professional re-training in IT.

everis has developed a policy of environmental responsibility and respect following an environmental management system based on the ISO 14001 Standard (November 2004) and which is implemented by our employees, clients and suppliers.

Pollution prevention, reducing  consumption of natural resources, responsible waste management and recycling are just some of the principle objectives that identify everis as a socially responsible company.

everis ha financiado, en colaboración con la ONG “Amigos de Silva”, la perforación de un pozo que abastecerá de agua a la población de Afar, una región ubicada en el norte de Etiopía. Hasta hoy no existía ningún pozo de agua en esta zona, lo que obligaba a sus habitantes a caminar muchos kilómetros para conseguir agua, a depender del clima para el riego de los cultivos y la alimentación de los animales. Para llevar a cabo esta iniciativa, everis ha realizado una donación de 20.000 euros.

Each year we have a tradition of celebrating Christmas by giving our clients a special present. The present selected for December 2006 was in collaboration with Intemon Oxfam.

This action forms a part of our social corporate responsibility which reflects the everis´ attitude and commitment to society as a whole. 

Uganda (Africa) is one of the poorest countries in the world, lacking sanitary infrastructure, schools and food. In addition, conditions are even worse for women (kidnaps, rapes...). For this reason everis  has collaborated with Intermon Oxfam  in a programme of social reintegration for Ugandan women, with the aim of promoting a fair salary which will guarantee a better life and participation in the development of the Ugandan population.

The present selected was a "Batik" - hand-painted pictures representing scenes taken from local daily life -. Each Batik is completely unique due to its production process. This procces takes a long time because it uses materials such as wax and different natural dyes layer on layer, each time waiting until the layer has dried. 

The campaign has helped to improve the lives of these Ugandan women and for everis  represents an investement double that of the previous year.  

In December 2005, everis launched a Christmas campaign with a social action. 

Traditionally, everis offers clients a Christmas gift of a book. This year the gift was a sculpture inside a box. 

The special feature of this action was that the box had a dual function: first to deliver the sculpture and then as a second step to be used to deliver children´s books. In this way we encouraged our clients to send any books that they may have had somewhere “forgotten” at home to contribute towards the creation of a library that everis was seting up in the region of CATAMARCA – Argentina. 

Having completed this first phase of the campaign, everis continued the initiative extending it to its professionals, and in the months of April and May 2006 boxes were distributed throughout the our offices so that employees could deposit their books there. 

The campaign was a complete success and over 2,500 books were sent to the newly created library in Argentina.
