Fernando Francés, president of everis, was primarily responsible for the foundation of the company in Spain in 1996. Graduated in Mathematics at Complutense University, he has spent his career entirely in the world of consulting. Francés has specialized in the areas of technology and telecommunications throughout his career as consultant at leading companies in the sector, before the birth of everis.
Eduardo Serra, vice president of everis, born in Madrid in 1946, he studied High School at the Ramiro de Maeztu Institute and received his law degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 1974 he was number one in the new draft of Spanish State Attorneys.
He has devoted half his professional life to public administration, the only Spaniard who has held senior positions with the three ruling parties in time of democracy:
- With the UCD, as Chief of Staff of the Minister of Industry and Energy (1977-1979), Secretary General and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the INI (1979-1982) and Deputy Secretary of Defense;
- With the PSOE, Secretary of Defense (1984-1987);
- With the PP, Minister of Defense (1996-2000).
In the private sector he has held various positions, including President of Telettra Spain, President of Cubiertas MZOV, President of Peugeot-Talbot Spain, President and Founder of Airtel and President of UBS Spain.
Eduardo Serra has spent part of his life to working with charities. He has served as President of INCIPE (1989-1996), Managing Director and President of FAD (1987-1996), Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Prado Museum (2000-2004), Founding President of Real Instituto Elcano (2000-2004).
At present he is Chairman of Eduardo Serra y Asociados, Vice-president of everis, Member of the Board of Directors of Zeltia, Member of the Board of Deutsche Bank, Nereo Green Capital and E.A.G.. President of the Transforma España Foundation, President of the Asociación Atlántica, President of the Advisory Board of AmChamSpain (American Chamber of Commerce in Spain), Vice-president of the Real Academia de la Mar, member of the Academia Europea de las Ciencias y las Artes, Patron of the Prado Museum and the Royal Institute Elcano.
Benito Vázquez is CEO of everis, part of NTT DATA Corporation, with its own offices in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, the UK, the USA, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina. Born in Orense, Spain, 50 years ago, he graduated in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
He began his career in the Telecommunications sector working for Telefónica I+D and SITRE. In 1992 he joined Andersen Consulting, where he participated in and led several projects in the Banking, Insurance, Public Sector, Telecom, Energy and Industry sectors. He was one of the key professionals who launched DMR Consulting in Spain in 1996 (renamed as everis in 2006), where he was responsible for the areas of Finance and Telecommunications until being appointed CEO of everis in April 2004.
In 2014 Mr. Vázquez successfully led the transaction which resulted in everis becoming a member of the NTT DATA Corporation, the global IT services company headquartered in Tokyo. A speaker and lecturer in different forums, Business Schools and Associations such as APD, AED, IE, IESE, or the Spanish Energy Club, he is a keen fan of athletics, a sport he has been actively engaged in all his life.
Telecommunications Engineer by UPC and he holds a degree in Economics from the University of Hagen (Germany).Six years of international experience in the Volkswagen Group in the areas of R&D. He joined everis in 1999. Since then he has held a number of management positions. In 2010 he became Office Manager of everis Barcelona and in March 2014 he was appointed as CEO of everis Spain. In January 2015 he was chosen to be Regional CEO for the Europe region. Additionally, he is Co-founder of Teaming, a solidarity platform.At present, he is also part of the Board of Directors of everis and is Trustee of the everis Foundation.
He has a master's degree in science and engineering from Wseda University and he also has another master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD.Hidetoshi has been in charge of several positions throughout his NTT career, such as general manager of the Niigata branch at NTT East, or senior manager of HR at NTT Holdings.In 2015, he was named Vice President of Global Business, with the goal of improving and establishing a global synergy, especially through the Global Accounts of all NTT Group organizations.
Aeronautical Engineering by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, joined everis in 2004 occupying the position of Head of Telecom sector in Chile. Some years later he became Managing Director first in everis Chile and from 2009 in everis Madrid.
In April 2002, Juan Yañez became the Chief Operating Officer, a position he held until 2015, year in which he was named Regional CEO of the Americas.
Manabu Tanaka was appointed to the Board of everis in January 2014. At everis, he also serves as a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nomination and Compensation Committee. Based in Tokyo and frequently traveling to Spain and Latin American offices, he plays a key role in accelerating the integration process, assisting everis’ management team. In 2010, he was appointed Senior Manager of the Group Strategy Headquarters at NTT DATA Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) after having developed his professional carrier in a number of different areas including banking (software development), card payment (electronic/mobile commerce), business innovation (in-house venture funds), strategic alliance and business development (including the transaction with everis) since he joined the company in 1993.
He holds a degree in Mathematics by the University of Salamanca. Francisco Lopez Luque started his career in the field of education, serving as professor of Mathematics at the Ministry of Education. Only one year later he joined the world of consulting at Accenture. In 1996, he started working at everis as Director of the Utilities and Industry sectors. In 1999 he was promoted to Partner of everis. Since then he has held a number of managerial positions in different areas of operation. In January 2003, he was named Deputy Director of everis in Mexico. A year later he was appointed as Corporate Director of Human Resources.
López Luque also served as Director of everis Madrid for 3 years and after that he became Corporate Director of everis Centers. In 2010, he changed his course again becoming President of everis Aerospace & Defense until 2015, when he was named CEO of everis Initiatives.
Alejandro Ferreiro Yazigi has a law degree from the University of Chile and a Master of Arts from the University of Notre Dame. He has wide experience in the academic world, and also in the public and private sector. He was Minister of Economics in Chile during the first presidency of Michelle Bachelet. He has held other important positions in the Chilean public sector, such as: Superintendent of Isapres (Institute of Preventive Health), Superintendent of Energy, Superintendent of Pension Funds, President of the Risk Classification Commission, Member of the Anti-Monopoly Resolution Commission, and Superintendent of Stocks and Insurance. He was also Director for Transparency, and then President.
He has been professor in several Chilean universities in the fields of economic regulation, systems of provisions, corporate governance and public ethics. He has participated in several presidential advisory commissions in areas of provisions, health, public ethics, financial supervision and decentralisation.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors in several companies and in the centre of studies Espacio Público. He is also a senior researcher at Cieplan.
Eugenio Galdón, everis independent Director and everis Foundation president, has developed his career in three main areas. He has been Professor of Public Finance at the Autonomous University of Madrid for over ten years. He has held various positions in the public sector, most notably as Advisor to President Suárez and Cabinet Director for President Calvo-Sotelo in the late 70s and early 80s. In the communication sector, he has been Executive Vice President of COPE, CEO of SER and CEO of the PRISA Audiovisual Division, among other positions.
In 1996 he created the ONO telecoms operator, where he served as executive chairman until the end of2008. In 2005 he led the purchase of Auna, which merged with ONO to become the leading telecommunications and broadband entertainment services provider in Spain. At present, he leads the Multitel Group, an umbrella company for his various business initiatives and interests.
Eugenio Galdón was born in Cartagena 63 years ago. He holds a degree in Economic Studies and a diploma in Political Studies from the University of Lovaine (Belgium). He is also a Commercial Technician and State Economist, graduating top of his class. He speaks English, French, German and Dutch and his main hobbies are classical music and sailing.
Cristina Garmendia, everis independent director, holds a PhD in Biology (Autonoma University - Madrid) and also she is founder of Genetrix, a biotechnology company.
Garmendia was part of everis´ Board of Directors some years ago before she was appointed Minister of Science and Innovation during the years 2008-2011 in Spain.
Prior to her election as Minister, she was President of the Inbiomed Foundation and the Spanish Association of Bioenterprises.
Pilar Zulueta, everis independent director, is executive vice president of Warner Bros. Consumer Products for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Her career began at the company VP-Schikedanz, and she later worked for WBI Spain and RJ Reynolds Tobacco. She joined Warner Bros. in 1997. She holds an MBA from the IE Business School and a bachelor's in biochemistry from the Autonomous University of Madrid, as well as a graduate specialization in molecular biology.
Antonio Gomez Jarillo, Secretary of the everis Executive Board and its Committees, is the Director of the everis group Legal Department/Attorney Group. He is registered with the “Colegio de Abogados de Madrid” (No. 48902) (Madrid Law Institute). Antonio has a BA in Law and a MA on Business Legal Advice from the “Instituto de Empresa” (Business School).
He joined everis in 2007, and has experience in the IT consulting industry gained through working in the legal department of both Accenture and Andersen Consulting. Prior to this Antonio served on the Tax & Legal unit of Coopers & Lybrand. He is specialized in Computer Law and New Technologies, and Data Privacy and Intellectual Property Rights.
He has experience in giving advice on corporate transactions (mergers investment and M & A, due diligence, financing, etc.) in addition to Compliance.
