everis has created the Center of Excellence in Technological Architecture in Barcelona. It will support worldwide projects worth 4 million euros a year, a figure expected to increase to 8 million in 2012. The center will design innovative technological solutions to meet business needs of companies through the reuse and alignment of these with the new standards and best market practices.
The center of the Spanish multinational is staffed by a team of over 50 professionals with expertise in new technologies. They will support projects all around the world. Fritz Hoderlein, Director of everis in Catalonia, explains that "the center is part of our overall strategy that focuses on the creation of centers of competence in new technologies, and allows efficient solutions for a competitive cost. At the same time, it will provide flexibility and agility to customer requests and greater ability to solve complex technological challenges."
The center, which expects to double in two years the number of professionals, will make a strong bid for the R&D&I, stimulating continuous contact with universities and other agencies for the development of innovation, market research and testing of new business solutions.
Single Knowledge and shared resources
The initiative starts from a consolidated experience in the consultant fields of technology architectures and new technologies and aims to promote, together and coordinated with them, the development of quality culture, innovation and excellence. Thanks to this experience, the center will use new procedures, development methodologies, management tools, quality and deployment, seeking to offer the best service to its customers.
Knowledge management and shared infrastructure resources, tools and methodology, will be key to ensure cost savings and the implementation of good practices and lessons learned in providing these services.
