The European Commission has awarded the Panoplis consortium three contracts for the development, research and support of information systems. Around 100 professionals will work in these projects, representing a turnover of € 40 million over the next 4 years.
The contracts awarded to the Panoplis consortium are valued at 392 million. More than 950 information technology and executive in agencies professionals will work at the European Commission software factories in Brussels, Luxembourg and Ispra (Italy)
Óscar Abril, partner responsible for everis Brussels stated: “These three projects are a great development opportunity for all companies within the consortium. This fact implies the recognition of our knowledge and experience in public sector projects, particularly in European institutions". This year everis has opened a new office in Brussels in order to strengthen the company's presence in Europe but also to increase our presence in complex projects requiring specialized professionals.
The consortium is made up of eight companies: everis, Trasys, Fujitsu, Siemens, Ordina Belgium, TXT e-solutions, Engineering Ingeniería Informática and ARHS Developments. It will develop and promote software within European institutions. It will also implement information systems applied to HR, financial, administrative and logistics management, as well as policies of the Commission.
Batches awarded
The Commission has awarded three batches to Panoplis (1A, 1B and 1C) to support project management, analysis, prototyping, programming, maintenance, customization, documentation and technical tests of information systems.
1A involves the development of database systems management, application servers and tools. 1B will focus on document management systems and content management. Finally, 1C will implement Business Intelligence systems and tools focused on the management and creation of knowledge through data analysis.
