everis has launched Fitalent, an investment fund registered in the special register of the CNMV, its focus is on technology-based companies whose main asset is people and talent. The fund, worth 5 million euros, will be used for medium-term investment in 10 companies that are in the commercial launch phase (start-ups) and that have a strong technological and innovative element.
Direct investment from the new fund will be between 250,000 and 750,000 euros for each business. The sectors that will be especially analyzed by Fitalent are those of information technology (Internet, software ...), technologies of life sciences (biotechnology, medical devices, ...) and other technologies (engineering, new energies ...).
At the head of this new company will be Alberto Garrido and Carlos Mendez, both partners of everis, with extensive experience in the consulting industry. "We aspire to co-invest with other funds or investors, and aspire to be strategic financial partners of the companies in which we will participate. We will look for companies that the everis group could assist in the development of the commercial activities, operational efficiency or expansion international ", said the executives who lead this project.
The launch of Fitalent is part of the strategy of everis to analyze and participate in new business models that will allow the consultancy to widen its offer. These projects are implemented through a new business unit called everis Initiatives, backed up by other companies such as Exeleria, which specializes in energy efficiency, or Konoss, which focuses on IT and communications centres.
