The everis foundation has met with the UPV to sign a cooperation agreement to reflect the interest of both institutions to collaborate in the educational, cultural, scientific and technological fields, and the support for entrepreneurship, to promote innovation and strengthen the synergy between Universities and the Business world. This agreement has been signed by the rector of UPV, Juan Juliá, and by the President of the everis foundation, Eduardo Serra.
During the signing ceremony, the importance of work developed by the everis foundation through its subsidiary i-deals was also explained, enhancing various technologies developed at the UPV. The aim of this work is to carry out a series of activities to facilitate the access to the market for a number of different research projects.
This activity has been carried out with the Centro de Transferencia de Tecnología (CTT) (Tecnology Transfer Center) to identify approaches and business opportunities. Thus, i-deals, has analyzed projects from different fields such as new processes for the production of sunscreens, organic reactions of great interest to the industrial area or systems to improve the efficiency in water treatment plants that can reduce energy consumption by 15% . For this year, a new round of projects has already been defined for further cooperation, including an optical filter technology, a keyboard for specific groups in society or new alternative engine designs that simplify vehicle maintenance.
The President of the everis foundation said that "Universities need the support of other organizations in the difficult task of bringing the creativity of the university closer to the market, with innovative solutions that will contribute to the benefit of the society. This is one of the main objectives of the foundation: to be a reference in uniting those who have the ideas with those who need them".
