According to the partner responsible for the everis office in A Coruña, Alejandro Moran, this initiative “reflects the commitment of everis to facilitate access to the labor market for college students and contribute to their professional development. For us, to become strategic partners of Galician universities in the Bologna framework is essential. In this context, as the dean of the School of Computing, Alberto Valderruten explained: "One of the objectives being sought at this time is to achieve greater interaction between Businesses and Universities and any action to be directed to that end from the team will be supported. There are already areas of collaboration with everis supporting the implementation of practices in the firm, final projects, etc, and this award is another activity that fits into this framework of relationships".
everis opened a new office in Galicia just four years ago. During this time, the number of workers has been increased to reach 120 staff and so its turnover, which stood in 2009 about five million euros in the area.
Currently, the company develops strategic consulting projects, and implementation of information systems and outsourcing to public and private clients of the autonomous community of Galicia.
Last September, everis signed a collaboration agreement with the University of A Coruña laying the groundwork for specific arrangements such as collaboration in research projects or sponsoring activities that promote learning, agreement in which this award is enshrined.
