Noemí Sanín named new president of everis foundation

The board of the everis foundation has appointed Noemí Sanín as the new president of the everis foundation.

Her entrepreneurial mindset, international vision and links with the academic community fit in perfectly with the philosophy of innovation, entrepreneurial impulse and commitment to the talent of the everis foundation.

Noemí Sanín, lawyer and socio-economist, is currently president of everis in Colombia. Prior to joining the consultancy firm, Sanín was president of the Colombian Finance Corporation and the first woman in America to chair a financial institution.

Doctor Honoris Causa of the SOKA GAKKI Universities of Japan and the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga of Colombia, Noemí Sanín served as Minister of Communications and Foreign Affairs of Colombia, and was ambassador in Spain, the United Kingdom and Venezuela. She also stands out for her entrepreneurial spirit, having founded more than 15 companies.

Noemí Sanín succeeds Eugenio Galdón, who is serving his four-year term as Head of the everis foundation. Sanín will continue with the mission of the everis foundation to transform society by promoting entrepreneurship and supporting scientific and technological research. In addition, she will have a fundamental role in continuing to enhance the internationalisation of its different initiatives.

I will be able to continue the foundation’s internationalisation process, especially in Latin America and continue to fulfill its purpose of transforming and improving society as well as the welfare of citizens, through talent, education, innovation and entrepreneurship” explains the new president of the foundation.
