The Identity area at everis Aerospace, Defense and Security has been awarded a contract for the provision of eighty border checkpoints to the Spanish police force. Specifically, the contract comprises travel document verification systems, fingerprint scanners, and the software for scanning and verifying documents and biometric data.

The solution is designed to be integrated into the systems that the Spanish police force use to look up information regarding visas, criminal records and stolen documents. In this regard, the latest revision of the European regulation on border crossing establishes the obligatory nature of verifying the identity and nationality of individuals and the authenticity and validity of travel documents, and of searching the pertaining national and international databases (especially SIS and databases of stolen and lost documents) for EU and Schengen citizens as well.

The Identity area at everis, which is part of the Security Division, designs and implements projects for clients in the public and private sectors by means of the combination of technological capabilities for biometric identification, document issuance and verification, fraud control or electronic signature systems. Thanks to these systems, the Identity area provides advanced solutions for Digital Onboarding, risk-based authentication, Smart Borders, identification of persons in open spaces, and digital signature.
